Independent Living Design (ILD) is a Dallas based company focused exclusively on providing clients with safer and more accessible living environments. We incorporate Universal Design and Aging-in-Place principles into home modifications which can allow clients to live more independently, more comfortably and safer in their own home.

Many clients have urgent needs due to a sudden onset event such as a stroke or catastrophic accident and others have progressive conditions which increasingly affect the client’s mobility, vision, strength or dexterity. We also have clients who know they want to remain in their homes as long as possible and decide they simply want to act now so that their homes will work for them for as long as possible.

Our projects range from single-room modifications to complete new home construction and each utilizes leading edge accessibility and safety solutions. It is always our goal to do these modifications in a manner which will enhance the home’s value, and function better for people of all ages and abilities.
